Do you have what it takes to maintain a long-term professional sports career at an elite level?
Do you want to know what it takes?
My name is Robert Rothbart, and after 17 years of professional basketball, with its successes and failures, highs and lows, I believe that the key to fulfilling your potential and flourishing long term in a career in professional sports is the right mindset.
Knowing how to leverage and optimize every situation that arises to your benefit, whether positive or negative is the key to prospering in the career which you have already invested in so much, and have given so much energy and training to get to this point. It all starts and ends in the mind.
Some of my absolutely best and most successful years in basketball came after injuries, difficulties, or failures, while some of my professional lows came after great years. This is why the lessons I have learned throughout my 17 year career can be summed up in one truism, “you must always be ready for tomorrow, regardless of what yesterday brought”. It is my strong belief that as warriors in the field or on the court, our biggest weapon to prepare for tomorrow is our mind.
Today I am passionate in mentoring and coaching the next generation of professional elite athletes, and being in their corner to guide them through this beautiful and special period in their lives. At the end of my career there is one question which I asked myself, and it had nothing to do with my achievements, my failures, or my earnings. That one question is, “Did I do everything in my power to be the best I can be during my career?”
I look forward to helping you get the most out of yourself, and answering YES to that question.
